The Colour: Between Earth & Sky

The Colour
Between Earth & Sky
Re:Think Records [2007]

When I think of Orange County, I think of straight up California punk rock. The Colour hail from Orange County but play a very British Strokes like rock n roll. The main different ingredient that sets The Colour apart from the rest is the infusion of some bluesy like venom that runs throughout the course of their debut Between Earth & Sky. Lead vocalist Wyatt Hull leads the way with a powerful 70’s rock voice modernized by the solid musicianship that rounds out the band. The Colour have some similar resemblance to sounding like the latest Killers record or a flashback to some Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street [1972]. Regardless of the retro feel, The Colour bring a fresh feel to the music scene with the release of Between Earth & Sky. It is an album that will always sound better with the volume cranked to ten! A welcomed factor that everyone needs on occasion!

Key Tracks: "Black Summer", "Devil's Got A Holda Me", "Save Yourself"
