NYC’s Day For Night has released this explosive 3 track self-titled EP that will instantly grab your attention. Kali Holloway drives this vehicle with her stunning power vocals that leave a lasting impression in your head forcing you to hit repeat each time this thing ends. You may already be familiar with Kali, because she stays very busy not only fronting this band but also is the lead vocalist in The Affair [Fire Note Review: 2/9/07]. Where The Affair has more of a throwback punk sound, Day For Night’s sound is very progressive. Using all of the three pieces talent, Day For Night’s tracks grind with electric guitar and exploding drums all concocting a perfect musical intensity. Even though this is only a 3 song EP, Day For Night puts forth a solid effort and just one listen will leave you with a heightened anticipation for a proper full-length. Here is hoping that comes true.
