Fire Note Says: Austin comes through again!

Album Review:
You can always count on Austin, TX to provide some great indie rock. Peel is the latest great offering the city has given us with their infectious youthful spirit showcased on their new self-titled debut album. This is a collection of 11 straight up power pop 2 – 3 minute gems that gives everything back to the listener, each containing a different niche that forces you to go back and hear them again. Sometimes an album of this sort can blend together but Peel accomplishes making each song truly different and ensuring that you are not board half way through. The energetic poppy nature of this album is what makes it so worth the listen. Peel is like Pavement on speed with several ounces of Bis stirred in. They should make Austin proud with this release and once again prove that quality music just breeds down there, painting the road map for all indie bands in the land on how it should be done.

Key Tracks: "In The City", "Oxford", "1949"
