Album Review:
The Virgins represent another NYC band that has received much hype due to the release of this infectious self-titled EP and its inclusion on several TV shows, like the new hip show Gossip Girl or as I like to call it the new OC and HBO's Entourage. The band is fun, funky and has swagger as they croon out three tracks and two demos. Even on the demos the band sounds completely sure of themselves with its style of indie rock that easily will be compared to The Strokes. Lead off track “Rich Girl” has a bounce to it that instantly grabs you and puts The Virgins on the radar. The full length is due later this year and The Virgins have signed to major label Atlantic Records so they will ride a wave of hype and anticipation until the release date – here is hoping the record is as good as the EP!
