Fire Drills Review:
Irish singer/songwriter Luka Bloom is a well known internationally and Eleven Songs is his 11th album, which is a forward batch of songs that focuses on his voice and guitar. Bloom's sheer talent shines through especially on the upbeat foot tapper "I'm On Your Side" and the sincere closer “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Light That Shines Within You”. The record was produced with David Odlum (The Frames) and was released in the UK late last year but now gets it's official US release today. Luka Bloom is a talent that is not as well known here but after just one listen to Eleven Songs you will not only have full respect for him as an artist but probably will want to seek out his earlier work too!
