Fire Drill Review:
The High Strung have slowly refined themselves into more of a psychedelic elephant 6 band with every release. On the bands fourth record Ode To The Inverse Of The Dude they leave most of their Detroit garage on the sideline, while the pleasant power pop of each track rises to the surface. The High Strung are very competent staying with this more focused sound and have several really catchy tracks which should appeal to fans. Ode To The Inverse Of The Dude concludes under 30 minutes so there is not much time to spend with The High Strung but the album holds up to repeat listens.
