Fire Drill Review:
Liverpool's Wave Machines have an almost perfectly blended synth-pop sound combined with an undertone of beats and bounce. The band switches in and out of these gears like on single "I Go I Go I Go" that has a propulsive hand clap timing to it, while "Keep The Lights On" contains an Elton John type falsetto and closer "Dead Houses" is a very subdued and simple closer that just fades out gracefully. Wave Machines have released a promising debut that should continue to build their UK steam and possibly earn a broader release for Wave If You're Really There in order for everyone to take a listen!
