Fire Drill Review:
When you think of the Austin TX sound, you probably don't think of early 90's groups like Drive Like Jehu, Fugazi, or Quicksand but that is exactly the type of style you get with We'll Go Machete. The quartets pulsating and pounding drive comes at you full steam in each of the EP's six tracks and never lets up its assault. We'll Go Machete incorporates hard riffs that remind me of Helmet while lead vocalist Paul Warner guides each track with his commanding call out vocals. The self-titled EP is an excellent beginning to hopefully a stellar LP and more exposure for the band.
