Rarely do we get this stirred up over a four song EP, but Philadelphia's Brown Recluse offers up a four track teaser that is well worth the price of admission. The Soft Skin EP was recorded originally in mid-2007 and finally sees the light of day with a proper release on Slumberland Records September 8th. It is not that Brown Recluse offer a new sound but their psychedelic sunshine pop brings a Beach Boys meets The Shins melting pot of infectious tunes that you most certainly will want to hear again. The band is currently working on their debut album for Slumberland due early 2010, and based on the strength of The Soft Skin EP, the record is already on our watch list!
