The Yes PleasesFrom Whence It Came
Elitist Low Brow Records [2009]

Fire Drill Review:
Seattle's The Yes Pleases play a enjoyable style of lo-fi indie pop that covers and touches several different genres. From the almost danceable opening track "Designer" compared to the grungy ballad "Vortex", The Yes Pleases almost sound like two different bands. The band really shines on their more straight forward indie rock songs like "Weekend Of Winning", which packs a punch during its upbeat two minute running time, that has a great replay value. For a band that is really under the radar From Whence It Came is a solid debut that shows promise and could eventually grab the The Yes Pleases some more exposure!
Key Track: "Weekend Of Winning"
Band With Similar Fire: Sebadoh
