NYC's The States have just released their third recording with We Are The Erasers EP, which contains five tracks of modern rock that is both catchy and smoothly delivered. The States have a certain cool ease to them that comes off confident, regardless of song style, like on the sprawling ballad "The Fight" or the Muse meets the Strokes mid temp rocker "Erasers". The EP was produced by Chris Grainger (Wilco, Switchfoot) and The States have earned several accolades by winning the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Grand Prize Winners) and the International Songwriting Contest (Winners). Their music has also been featured on MTV and ESPN's "Baseball Tonight", plus Q104.3's recently included The States on their Top 10 New York bands list, so now is your chance to catch em before they go big!
