The Stone RosesThe Stone Roses [20th Anniversary Legacy Edition]
Silvertone/Legacy Records [1989; re:2009]

Fire Drill Review:
Here is another classic that gets the Legacy edition treatment on its 20th anniversary of release. The Stone Roses self-titled debut is well deserving of its star treatment due to its massive influence on UK bands of yesterday, today and certainly the future. The wide audience US market definitely does not have the same appreciation for what the The Stone Roses offered up on their debut but most of the songs have a timeless appeal, which sound just as good today as they did 20 years ago. There are multiple Editions with this release that have tons of Stone Roses goodies attached. The Legacy version we have contains the re-mastered original album, a second disc of The Lost Demos album and the live in Blackpool DVD. This collection is the perfect ensemble of why the band and this album are cherished with many and a must if you have never took the record for a spin.
