What I like about tribute albums is that they give solid exposure to classic bands and help reintroduce them to an entire new audience. New Tales To Tell does just that for Love And Rockets, which of course was made up of former Bauhaus members. There is not necessarily any one cover here that pops out as essential but the record has an A-list of contributors that include Black Francis, The Dandy Warhols, Blaqk Audio (AFI), The Flaming Lips, Puscifer (Maynard James Keenan), Monster Magnet, and Better Than Ezra. Overall this is a fair effort by most of the 18 groups found here and if it pulls at least one person back to the Love And Rockets original catalog - then it did its job!
