Fire Note Says: Get out your cymbals and join the fun!

Album Review:
From the first onset of keyboards in album opener "Run With Me Run" you know that New Jersery's Black Hollies are going to hit you with a full assault of catchy 60's psychedelic rock n roll. Softly Towards The Light is The Black Hollies third full length record and compared to their earlier releases, it brings a cleaner production and wider range of instruments to the table. This fuller sound combined with catchy hooks, backup harmonies, and clever lyrics makes listening to Softly Towards The Light a refreshing break from the current trends in music. This retro sound actually works well for The Black Hollies, as they not only bring a new spotlight to the genre but sound modernly hip doing it. The bottom line on The Black Hollies is that they are able to combine a wall of organs, clanging cymbals, flaring fuzzed guitar and a heavy bass to tracks that provide plenty of replay value and consistent turning up the volume moments!

Key Tracks: "Gloomy Monday Morning", "Lead Me To Your Fire", "Run With Me Run"
