Often called the "King of Soul", Otis Redding was a talent that was cut too short due to the plane crash which took his life one month before his biggest hit, "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay" was released. Since then, there have been countless compilations and now The Best: See & Hear offers a unique combination of his hits and a DVD of his performances. The disc is an excellent introduction to Redding for newbies, as it features many of his biggest hits with "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay," "I've Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)," "Respect," "Satisfaction," and "Try A Little Tenderness," all included here. What makes this collection special is the DVD of nine Redding performances, as well as performances by Booker T. & The MG's and Sam & Dave. What is nice about this set, is that you get to visualize Redding's talent, along with the superb audio and you simply have the option to get your soul education all in one sitting!
