To answer your immediate thoughts about Princeton is to tell you that they are named after a street in Santa Monica and not the university. The quintet is lead by twin brothers Jesse & Matt Kivel, which alternate vocal duties as Cocoon Of Love has the pleasant swagger of a Jonathan Richman, Jens Lekman, or even can be compared to the college rhythms of Vampire Weekend. What separates Princeton from some of these other talents is their ground roots 60's sound harmonies and a bit of doo-wop, that is most evident with finger snap beats in "Sylvie". This combination makes for a very smooth listen from beginning to end and after repeat listens Princeton gets better and better!
