Capgun Coup: Maudlin

Fire Drill Review:
Capgun Coup are a freewheeling indie rock band from Omaha, NE that have just recently released their sophomore record Maudlin. It has 14 tracks of fueled up good times, that cranks out in just 38 minutes and offers different genres that stretch from surf to lo-fi garage. Maudlin is truly a fun record to let play at any event with its controlled recklessness and unconventional vocals. It has many special highlights, like the surprising surf instrumental "Fishlip" and the lackadaisical swagger in "Farnam Street", which together have a completely different approach and style but both just make you want to stay longer and hang with Capgun Coup for repeat plays!
Key Track: "Now That I'm Home"
