Fire Drill Review:
Not sure anyone would have predicted that once Kurt Cobain passed away, that the drummer from Nirvana would go on to front one of rocks most radio friendly bands that has substance, angst and likability all wrapped into one musically tight package. What makes the Foo Fighters relevant is that not only have they had extreme commercial success, but that they are and always will be leagues above similar selling acts of the last 15 years (Nickelback anyone). This is for no other reason then the group has always possessed an edge that others just do not have. The Foo Fighters are a band that started out opening for alt rock hero Mike Watt and has a frontman that simply makes every project he touches better. This compilation contains 13 of the groups hits, 2 brand new songs and an added acoustic version of "Everlong". The one missing track here that is noticeable would be "Ill Stick Around", which was the very one that initially put them on the map. This of course does not diminish the recognizable hit after recognizable hit this record does possess, although the new songs are what they are and it would have been cool to include some more b-side "hits", that are not on Foo albums. The end result is that this is a well above average slice of the Foo Fighters and a fair representation of their work that most certainly will rock out anywhere you press play!

I had completely forgotten about how ridiculously awesome the Foo Fighters are.. every song on the “Hits” is ACTUALLY great. Also really like the two new ones, especially "Wheels."
