Fire Drill Review:
Signal Morning marks the welcomed return of one of the more experimental Elephant 6 bands Circulatory System. The group has been absent since 2001, mostly due to key leader Will Cullen Hart battling MS. With his illness now more manageable, Hart leads the charge on Signal Morning with its fuzzy lo-fi approach that is glistened by the hidden harmonies. It is easily the groups best record and rivals the boys other highly touted group The Olivia Tremor Control. Signal Morning is a record that you must ingest for a bit because it has so many sounds and so many hidden musical crevices. Circulatory System makes their music worth every second you give it, with its challenging at times instrumentation, explosion of odd noises and beats plus its subtle melodies, that makes Signal Morning one of the better indie releases this year!
