Sloan: Hit & Run [EP]

Sloan
Hit & Run [EP]
Murderecords [2009]

Fire Drill Review:
Sloan is easily one of the best and most under appreciated Canadian bands we know and on this new five song EP, the boys in the 18 year and running band, show us exactly why we obsess. Each track offers a little slice of Sloan's past, which is combo Beatles, Kinks and Big Star rolled into one big power pop punch. "Midnight Mass" is a catchy and endearing ballad while "Where Are You Now?" brings back memories of their more alt rock 90's era. Overall, if you have been a fan of Sloan, then the Hit & Run EP will be a must for your collection. If you have never heard of Sloan then it is time to seek them out!
