Fire Drill Review:
White Denim simply provide a bag of noise that when spilled gives you a record that has a multitude of highs, lows and in-betweens. They offer up many styles that include stoner rock, jazz fusion and out there psychedelic, but their talent is still creating a record that flows and makes sense. Fits works but it really is an album that was made for vinyl because you need to listen to it in its entirety for its madness to sink in, which you lose in shuffle mode. Without its transitions, the listener will be lost and some tracks won't make sense. Fits is not quite as earth shattering as I thought it might be after the bands earlier EPs, but it still highlights White Denim as a band that could easily hit us with a future record that will make everyone take note. For that reason alone, Fits is worth every second you give it!
