Fire Note Says: Doesn't take long to get to know the Murphy's!

Album Review:
When it snows do you ever dig through your collection to pull out that perfect record for the moment? Well, the new side project from Wintersleep lead singer Paul Murphy and his brother Michael called Postdata is that album. The acoustic songs are dedicated to the brothers grandparents, which passed away two years ago as the subject matter focuses on thirty or forty pieces of songs that evolved during this time in Paul's dreams. The tracks allow you to drift off into Postdata's world and in a short 27 minutes they bring you back to a calmer reality. Paul Murphy's voice is completely entrancing as the material is very personal in nature but easily can be identified with. This is not an album that will win you over instantly but it is a record that shines after repeat plays, as the time to just reflect is priceless!

Key Tracks: "In Chemicals", "The Coroner", "Paranoid Clusters"

Bands With Similar Fire:
Bon Iver
David Bazan
Timber Timbre
