Fire Drill Review:
Twin sisters Chandra and Leigh Watson are best know for the back up duties they performed with Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley) but on Talking To You, Talking To Me they get the chance to expand their sound on previous records and really show the different sides of the Watsons. This works for and against them throughout the record because the styles feel somewhat jumbled instead of planned. If you take each song off the record and hear it out of sequence there is no question that the Watson Twins have stellar voices and on the sultry "Midnight", I can't imagine them being much better. Fans will enjoy the sonic upgrade Talking To You, Talking To Me offers but unless they get just the right exposure, I don't see this record launching The Watson Twins to the masses.
