Fire Note Says: Time to check out their world!

Album Review:
Looking for different? Looking for an experience? Looking for a record that offers something unique around each corner? Stop looking because the Liars fifth studio album Sisterworld will fill all voids. From a band that you never know what you are going to get, Sisterworld actually provides exactly what you expect. It pulls from all the bands previous outings and combines their many different moods and styles into a thrilling 42 minutes of catchy sounds. What is the most intriguing element found on Sisterworld is its tense restraint. For a band that can cultivate a riot with heart pounding guitar and fist pumping shout outs, Sisterworld is all about the hush vocal tones and well placed beats. These two components create an intensity throughout the album that keeps your ears focused and your mind open. You want the Liars to knock you down - you just don't know when. There are plenty of explosive moments on Sisterworld to retain longtime followers but right down to the dreamy closer "Too Much, Too Much", this record hits all of the Liars talents. The Liars present an album here that builds and never relies on one style or tempo. This is the essential part that makes Sisterworld perfect to just be listened to for what it is and sit back in awe!

* make sure to seek out the limited edition of Sisterworld as it contains a bonus disc with reinterpretations of its tracks by the likes of Thom Yorke, Devendra Banhart, Melvins, Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead, Fol Chen and Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio.

Key Tracks: "Scarecrows On A Killer Slant", "The Overachievers", "No Barrier Fun"
