You ever put on a record and just know that it is good. That was my exact reaction when checking out the debut from LA's Local Natives. It has bigger than stereo harmonies, catchy memorable melodies and a combination of Afro-beat instrumentation with an undertone of garage rock that is simply stylin'. Call it the new trend or just the skill of making something fresh but you can throw Local Natives into the mix of names that are on the driving edge of indie rock right now as Gorilla Manor offers a consistently fun listen that gets better after every spin because there is always one more harmonic layer just waiting for you!
