Standard FareThe Noyelle Beat
Bar/None Records [2010]

Fire Drill Review:
Standard Fare are a trio of Sheffield indie poppers that offer up a very youthful, upbeat and hook filled debut with The Noyelle Beat. Most of the tracks are lead by the likable vocals of Emma Kupa, which are sometimes paired with the dueling Danny How and will instantly remind you of some classic Blake Babies. The record is full of lovelorn tunes that are based on relationships and experiences, which translates into an overall sincere vibe. The album was recorded in just six days and is directly reflected in the The Noyelle Beat's loose and carefree sound. This free spirit lets the album breath on its own and makes it a perfect record to just enjoy while ensuring a promising future for Standard Fare.
