Fire Drill Review:
A Weather's sophomore record Everyday Balloons is a like a gentle wave rolling along that softly crashes against the shore. The Portland, Oregon group relies on the male and female vocals of Aaron Gerber and Sarah Winchester to almost entirely support the album, as the quiet instrumentation takes a backseat to their lyrical play. This is exactly what you want from A Weather, as the band offers lush melodies and an open arm approach to bring the listener in as close as possible. For most of the tracks this direction works well but given the records 51 minute running time you still need to be in the mood to relax. If that is the case, A Weather will do you no wrong!
