Fire Drill Review:
Vancover's Yukon Blonde supplies a heavy dose of solid indie rock that has plenty of vocal harmonies, which at times can feel like Supertramp, while others have more of a Fleet Foxes type vibe. Their self-titled debut carries this 60's rock meets 2010 torch all the way through the record and really does give the album a uniqueness that stands out. It is also the superb quality of lead vocalist Jeff Innes that makes tracks standout here, while Yukon Blonde pull off sounding so familiar, that you instantly connect with the album. For this very reason it is a record you should check out because it gets better after every spin.
