Fire Note Says: Love Is All bring it again!
Album Review:
Love Is All has been cranking on all gears over the last several years and on the bands third long player Two Thousand And Ten Injuries you won't get any sense that they are slowing down anytime soon. The band has been at the top of their (insert your own genre bending description here) class for sometime and where their earlier records were like a ball of energy, Two Thousand is much more meticulously planned. Every track found here has a certain amount of "proper" style added to it that really showcases Love Is All's multiple talents. The band has always relied on guitar, bass and drums but they also have always counted on quick disco beats and horns. This combined with the commanding vocals of singer Josephine Olausson offered up an in your face approach, which worked well. On Two Thousand the group gives you more personal space but fills the songs with more emphasis on Olausson's vocals, clearer male/female harmonies and steadier tempos. This is definitely not a new approach for Love Is All but any fan will be able to hear the maturity of a group that it is in it for the long haul and Two Thousand And Ten Injuries is another solid staple in their catalog!
