Fire Drill Review:
Avi Buffalo is the adopted name of Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg, a young singer/songwriter and guitarist from Long Beach, CA. His band by the same name all averages around 19 years of age but after taking their self-titled debut for a spin, you would never guess that they were not seasoned veterans. Their music is a solid slice of college rock with its laid back approach and likable Shins type vocals, that instantly grab your attention. The songs seem simple at first but you soon realize that their diversity and moments of wander, make for their complexity, as the group all ties them together lyrically and vocally. Avi Buffalo is an exciting debut that has its imperfections but completely wins you over with its freshness and the bands clear potential for something special to follow!
