Fire Drill Review:
Since joining the band in 2004, Nels Cline is best known as the lead guitarist of Wilco but his solo work has always showcased his core talent. Most people probably don't know that Cline has also worked with members of Sonic Youth, Deerhoof, Mike Watt and countless jazz artists. His new double album Initiate highlights Cline's vast experience and not only gives you a full studio recording but album two is the bands first released live recording. Initiate is for the true music lover, as you need some dedicated time to tackle this over two hour adventure but it is hard to find a better instrumental rock-electronic-jazz mix then what Cline can offer. It is a record to just put on and experience as it contains a multitude of exhilarating moments that will leave you in awe and have you coming back for more.
