Fire Drill Review:
Blunt Mechanic is the new project from Ben Barnett of Kind Of Like Spitting fame. He already has a storied indie career so there is nothing to prove with Blunt Mechanic except for giving Barnett a fresh outlet to do what he does best, as World Record is a lo-fi combination of punk, 90's alt rock and the glory days of the 70's radio. This re-kindled spirit leads to some great catchy tracks that only get better every time you take a listen. Blunt Mechanic is a lo-fi highlight of a record that not only will remind you of great Kind Of Like Spitting moments but that Barnett has a lot of solid indie music to give and World Record is only the beginning!
