Fire Drill Review:
Alright - so Oasis broke up again and this retrospective captures all of the band's singles on 2 CDs unless you have the US version that does not include "Sunday Morning Call" because you get "Champagne Supernova". I guess the argument can be made about which continent the single was actually released on but this bait and switch really didn't alter the outcome for me. Sure the band released a hits collection already called Stop The Clocks in 2006 but were tracks picked out by Noel and didn't focus as much on singles. Regardless of your current Oasis feelings, the group has released some stellar tracks over the years and not many bands could come close to filling two albums worth of "single" material. The box set version of this comes with a DVD that holds all of their videos and a third CD capturing the last show Oasis played out live. At the end of the day, there are not any new tracks on the two disc set, unless you count "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" from the Oasis rock film of the same name, so it may not immediately appeal to fans but looking down the road this is the Oasis collection you would want spinning hence the all out 5 flame rating!
