Fire Drill Review:
Setting Sun play a sort of indie electro-pop that presents both an upbeat vibe, while still being able to withdrawal into hush instrumentation's that break part of the record down into a more folk orientation. This really divides Fantasurreal into two distinct camps, that overall works out alright but struggles a bit here with its pacing, cohesiveness and more subdued ending. Based on the strength of opening track "Driving", the band should really get behind the more electric side of their spectrum but the reality of Fantasurreal is that Setting Sun continue to evolve and grow. Like any good band, growth is always positive and Fantassurreal is a testament to Setting Sun's expansion of ideas, while still being faithful to their acoustic roots.
