Big ScienceSkyscraper Sound [EP]
AEMMP Records [2010]

Fire Drill Review:
We were extremely happy to see the resurfacing of Jason Hendrix and Jason Richards from the San Diego band North Atlantic. In fact, Wires In The Walls [2006] made our Top 25 list for that year, so now fast forward to 2010 and we have a move to Chicago, a new band name, two new band mates and a sophomore EP titled Skyscraper Sound. Big Science is a definitive new wave progression in sound from the post-punk of the members past but still contains the ferocity and tight song structures that made their earlier work solid. On Skyscraper Sound, Big Science allows their songs to build and develop massive soundscapes, as three of its five tracks pass the five minute mark. Skyscraper Sound is a record that started from over 800 rough recordings and has meticulously been transformed into these five sophisticated tracks that will only leave you waiting and wanting a full length - let's hope it happens!
