Fire Drill Review:
This self-titled debut is an excellent answer to all the hype that has been building for The Drums. The group hails from the indie hotbed of Brooklyn and the band lives up to the expectations with their flowing swagger approach that both incorporates a 1950's pop with a Strokes grit, while having a sort of Smiths sound and song structure. I know the description sounds completely weird but this mix makes for a very enjoyable 43 minute listen and spotlights The Drums as a band to get behind. From the quick paced breezy number like "Let's Go Surfing" to the big anthem brooding "It Will All End In Tears", The Drums have made a debut that only gets better with every spin!
