Fire Drill Review:
Miami's Ex Norwegian continue to evolve their sound on the groups sophomore record Sketch. The trio presents an upbeat album that has a solid guitar sound, catchy hooks, and an obvious love for '90s rock. Sketch takes a step forward in almost every category from their debut Standby [2009], as it contains tighter song structures, bigger choruses and complete confidence. The band still has room for growth, as Sketch suffers some from a cohesive aspect due to some track to track style changes but overall Ex Norwegian still would not be out of place on a bill with Sloan or Big Star, which in my book is never a bad thing!
