Feeder: Renegades

Feeder
Renegades
Big Teeth Music [2010]

Fire Note Says: Feeder shows everyone why you should still care!

Album Review:
Feeder used to be one of the biggest bands on the UK rock scene. They slowly faded into the unknown but still continually released records even with a fast decline in followers. On the groups seventh studio record Renegades, Feeder hopes to reclaim some of their early fanbase as the guys rediscover their original rock out origin and just let it rip. The band is now free from the majors as Renegades was released on their own new label Big Teeth Music. This instant freedom pours out of each track, as the record relies less on hooks and more on driving guitar and pounding drums. Of course the album is lead by frontman Grant Nicholas and his throat curling bellow happens time and time again and keeps Renegades in high gear, as the record is one of their shortest and concludes in a perfect 34 minutes. This fits the bands fresh "in your face" style and gives Renegades a pulse, that may not gain all of Feeder's earlier glory back but should demand respect and play absolutely stellar live. Basically Feeder is back - hear them shred!
