Fire Note Says: This is one party everyone should attend!
Album Review:
Have you ever sat around just hoping that your favorite bar band recorded an album and that it actually was good? If that rings true for you, then J Roddy Walston And The Business is a band that most certainly will appeal to your taste. The group plays hard "bar" rock that has swagger and attitude flowing out of every piano note, guitar strum and drum pound. J Roddy has one of those likable attitudes, as his care free spirit just drives these songs whether you like em or not. He could have a beer bottle hurled towards him and if he didn't catch it and take a swig then he would just let it ricochet off and keep on singin'. It is just that type of record. This self-titled effort is like a full on 37 minute party that never lets up, has tons of memorable riffs, plenty of sing-a-long choruses and still leaves plenty of time to toss one down before you are compelled to hit repeat. Cmon - one look at this album cover is all you need to know - J Roddy And The Business know how to rock n roll!
Key Tracks: "Brave Man's Death", "Full Growing Man", "Uh Oh Rock & Roll"
Bands With Similar Fire:
The Hold Steady
Jaill
Kings Of Leon
