I am pretty sure that you never thought that Slayer's "Skeletons Of Society" or Pantera's "Walk" would be perfect songs for a bright Sunday afternoon stroll but that is exactly what you get from Swedish band Hellsongs on their new covers tribute album Minor Misdemeanors. The group tackles songs from past heavy metal favorites like Judas Priest, GN'R, Skid Row, AC/DC and Alice Cooper, lead by the pleasant vibrant vocals of Siri Bergnéhr. She brings an upbeat lounge sway to these tracks, which are very refreshing and fun, as the record brings a true focus into the lyrics of songs we all know but probably never paid that close attention to. At the end of the day, Minor Misdemeanors is still a cover record but if you are looking for something unique Hellsongs have provided an outlet here that is not cheesy and one you might really dig!
