Fire Note Says: Red Aunt Kerry Davis shines in her new one lady band Two Tears!

Album Review:
I am sure you don't know the name Kerry Davis but back in the 90's she was in the all girl punk group the Red Aunts (which happens to be one of my favorites) that were on Epitaph Records. Two Tears is her new one lady band that features Davis on guitar and vocals while using a rotating cast of musicians. This 7" brings back all the right components that made the Red Aunts great with more focused but yet edgy singing and replacing punk chords with a little more refined guitar groove. Each track here has attitude and swagger, which is why the Eat People 7" succeeds and regardless if Davis is tearing it up on the single or seducing you on the grinding last track "Senso-Unico", Two Tears shows real promise and hopefully she can release a full length in the near future because it should pack a punch!
