Dignan Porch: Deluded 12" EP

Dignan Porch
Deluded 12" EP
Captured Tracks Records [2011]

Fire Note Says: Lo-fi group from South West London will win fans of this genre over with this sharp and carefree EP.

Album Review:
Coming in at just under 20 minutes and 8 tracks, Tooting, South West London band, Dignan Porch, give you their version of lo-fi indie rock. This mini album finds founder and typical one man band guy Joe Walsh stepping into the studio with a full group which gives this recording a much more vibrant sound with less fuzz compared to their previous recordings. The beauty of Deluded is that regardless of some imperfections, its jangly carefree song structures have the right mix of feedback and melody that ultimately gives Dignan Porch the swagger you have come to expect from the Captured Tracks roster. This 12" EP is also only available on vinyl, which yields a little extra mystique for Dignan Porch, as the little crackles here and there play right into their hand and make for a fun and entertaining listen from beginning to end!

Key Tracks: "Yards", "Like It Was Again", "I Threw Myself From Tower Bridge"
