Fire Note Says: Walls offers another competent slice of indie rock from Australia's An Horse.
Album Review:
Australian pair Kate Cooper and Damon Cox, aka An Horse, return with their sophomore album Walls that is another twelve songs of straightforward indie rock. Cooper's vocals reign supreme over the quick
guitar and drum work here as Kate's likable tone sells each track. The duo once again is able to create a much bigger "band" sound even though they are only 2 person strong. An Horse sound more confident than ever here, which gives Walls a slight edge over their debut. If there are any complaints of this record, it would be that the band plays it a bit safe and never reaches for any new directions. If you were already a fan of An Horse, this won't be an issue for you but newer listeners still might be willing to reach for something else because there is not much in between or variance throughout this record.Key Tracks: "Swallow The Sea", "Dressed Sharply", "Brain On A Table"
