Fire Note Says: Third album from Mother Mother packs a bright indie pop punch!

Album Review:
If you like bright male/female dueling vocals, high energy pop undertones and quick stand out keyboard beats then Canada's Mother Mother is the band for you. Eureka marks the groups third LP and it is the cleanest sounding and produced record in their catalog. The album takes risks, like on the dramatic and dark "Born In A Flash", which almost has a grandiose Queen tone to it, while "Simply Simple" lowers the energy some but still has Mother Mother pulling it off with their intensity. This intensity oozes a new found confidence in the band that makes Mother Mother stand out here on album number three. Mother Mother may or may not break out here in the States but if you like a more glossy indie pop sound then they are the band for you!
