SharksThe Joys Of Living 2008-2010
Velvet Scene/Rise Records [2011]

Fire Note Says: The Sharks bring the best of historic UK punk to the modern era on excellent compilation album.
Album Review:
English band Sharks American debut, The Joys Of Living 2008-2010, is actually a compilation of several older EPs and two new songs. It is the perfect introduction to their punk rock style and most certainly will get you geared up for a proper full length release.
The Sharks delivery is classic Clash meets The Gaslight Anthem with sharp strong vocals from lead man James Mattock, quick guitar chords and plenty of thematic driving call outs that will have your foot tapping and singing along within minutes. The new tracks here lead off the album and show real promise as both "Sweet Harness" and "The Joys Of Living" are solid. The Sharks are a band that only have one way to go, which is up, if they continue their growth and ability to bring a classic sound forward right into 2011 and beyond. I know one thing for sure - we will be waiting!
Key Tracks: "Sweet Harness", "Trains", "It All Relates"
