Eddie VedderUkulele Songs
Monkeywrench Records [2011]

Fire Note Says: Just Eddie Vedder and his ukulele.
Album Review:
This album delivers as advertised and I think if someone asked me to listen to a full album of Eddie Vedder singing on his ukulele I probably would have laughed, returned a joke, and laughed again.
The honest truth about Ukulele Songs is that the record is not bad. It is only 35 minutes long and contains 16 songs that average around 2 minutes in length. Some of the songs here date back more then ten years so you do get a range of thoughts from Mr. Vedder which are usually more guarded. Ukulele Songs does work because of Vedder's ability to sell a moment. On here, Vedder always can stress the right phrase, show emotion through his playing and has a confidence to him that is uncrackable. Ukulele Songs is still a record of Vedder's thoughts played out with a Ukulele, so it is worth being checked out by fans but might not have tons of staying power and probably could only be pulled out by Vedder in the first place!Key Tracks: "Longing To Belong", "Sleeping By Myself", "Tonight You Belong To Me (w/ Chan Marshall (Cat Power)"
