Jacuzzi Boys: Glazin'

Jacuzzi Boys
Glazin'

Fire Note Says: Catchy guitar riffs + rolling bass lines + 3o minute length = entertaining sophomore album Glazin' from the Jacuzzi Boys!

Album Review:
Loud, fun and carefree is how Miami's Jacuzzi Boys roll on their sophomore album Glazin'. It is an upbeat rocker experience from opening track "Vizcaya", all the way until the lighthearted strumming on the final song "Koo Koo With You". Glazin' is an automatic improvement from the bands debut, as they spent a full 12 days recording and mixing which translates into a bigger and cleaner sound without sparing one ounce of garage rock momentum. The songs are simple with big hooks that are driven by guitar, bass and drums. This formula immediately sucks you into the Jacuzzi Boys world and instantly will shave 10 years off your natural age. It is a record that is a must to turn up, as its 30 minute running time packs a wallop and is perfect for repeat listens. The foot tapping title track is exactly the garage rock diddy you would expect from the Jacuzzi Boys, as it builds in intensity but tracks like the sharp tongued "Cool Vapors" and the almost metal riff driving "Silver Sphere (Death Dream)" show that the band is more than a one trick pony. Some will complain that the lyrics here are not sophisticated enough, the musicianship in parts is still a bit rough and guitarist/vocalist Gabriel Alcala is not the best singer but if you are a fan of this style of indie rock all those supposed deficiencies will never be heard, noticed or cared about. The Jacuzzi Boys have released a solid guitar album that makes it easy to tune other noise out and simply enjoy what is left of the summer while most definitely keeping the party going well into 2012!
