The Jim Jones Revue: Burning Your House Down

Fire Note Says: Just let this record rip and roll!

Album Review:
There is always a time and place for loud and to be honest - you can't go wrong with loud. That makes the new record from London's The Jim Jones Revue the perfect album to let rip, as they have been described as Little Richard fronting The MC5 with Jerry Lee Lewis on the keys. I must say that that description paints the perfect picture of what Jim Jones brings to the table, as the just over 30 minute record is driven by a high energy and an even higher attitude. This in your face rock n roll is addictive and it shouldn't be a surprise that it was produced by Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds/Grinderman), because this record could have come from any of his efforts and it only makes sense that he played a roll. The Jim Jones Revue provides plenty of entertainment with every spin and each time you hear the blending of old school meets modern age, Burning Your House Down becomes a record that will stay in your rotation for some time to come!
