Fire Note Says: Great debut from the youthful Sleeper Agent!

Album Review:
The youthful vigor found on Sleeper Agent's debut, Celabrasion, is absolutely infectious as their brand of indie rock is loud, fun and extremely catchy. What is truly interesting with this release is that the Bowling Green, KY band just formed last year and their oldest member of the young adult sextet is 26 years old. The album features the strong lead female vocals of Alex "Kidd" Kandel who shares the spotlight on lead and verse inter-changes with songwriter/guitarist Tony "Tutone" Smith. With Kandel's confident in your face attitude and Smith's Jack White sounding voice, the duo reign supreme on the speakers with their call and response style through the entire record. The chemistry between the two completely works and is the backbone of Celabrasion, while its upbeat big memorable choruses makes Sleeper Agent come alive. To me, it is amazing that such an inexperienced group can put a record out this solid. Sure, there are some small missteps here but considering how fast Sleeper Agent formed, how good the vocal combo of Kandel and Smith are together and how hard they rock out, I can only imagine a bright future for a band we will clearly be watching!
