Fire Note Says: Never hurts to revisit the Misfits!
Album Review:
If you have been around Philadelphia you might be familiar with the punk cover group TV Casualty that plays out once in awhile tackling different set lists from classics like Black Flag and Minor Threat. It may surprise you that their lineup includes Andy Nelson (Ceremony, Paint It Black) on bass, Atom Goren (Atom And His Package) and Brian Sokel (AM/FM) on guitar, and Chris Wilson (Ted Leo/Pharmacists) cranking the drums.
This record also features none other than Ted Leo himself representing proudly his best Glenn Danzig persona on vocals, as the group rips out 6 Misfits tracks on this limited red 7" release. The album is complete fun and this group nails the intensity as each track rocks out completely with Ted Leo's superb lowered howl.
The great thing about this 7" is that all the proceeds from the release go directly to the Attic Youth Center in Philadelphia so you really can't go wrong with the price of admission.
